Independent Wedding Celebrant in Shropshire, Cheshire and Beyond
Congratulations on your engagement
What an exciting time for you both, you’re getting married!
If you’re looking for an independent wedding celebrant in Shropshire, Cheshire or nearby, you’re in the right place. I create personalised celebrant-led wedding ceremonies that reflect your story, your personalities and the atmosphere you want for your day.
Whether you want something heartfelt, relaxed, fun, meaningful or a bit of everything, I’ll work with you to create a ceremony that feels natural, memorable and completely personal to you.
I’m based near Shropshire and Cheshire and regularly work with couples across Shropshire, Cheshire, Lancashire and beyond. Many of my couples choose celebrant-led weddings because they want more flexibility, more personality and a ceremony that feels like the real start of their day.
If you’re getting married at a country house, barn venue, family home or somewhere a little different, I’d love to hear more about your plans.
Feeling a bit overwhelmed by wedding planning too?
I also support nearlyweds with the emotional side of the journey inside The Weddings & Wellbeing Lounge membership (monthly coaching + tools + a kind community). Take a look here.
A celebrant-led ceremony opens up so many choices for you!!
“If you are unsure on whether having a wedding celebrant is for you, I would say, go for it! You won’t regret it!.
If you are looking for a personal ceremony tailored to you and your partner and written so beautifully, then Lisa is someone you shouldn’t hesitate in booking for your big day! My husband, myself and so many others (including the suppliers) made comment about how personal, loving and not boring our ceremony was. Lisa was able to deliver the ceremony with such care and thought by also making us feel like we had known her forever. She made the process of planning the ceremony so easy, with extra touches added that made it extra special.”

Why choose to have a celebrant-led ceremony?
Your ceremony is the heart of your wedding day, it sets the tone, the atmosphere, and the energy for everything that follows. A celebrant-led wedding ceremony gives you the freedom to create something that truly reflects you as a couple. Unlike a more standard script, your ceremony can include personal stories, meaningful vows, family traditions, symbolic rituals and all the little details that make your relationship unique.
You can keep things romantic and heartfelt, add humour and warmth, include children or pets, or bring in wedding ceremony rituals such as handfasting, a unity candle or ring warming. It’s your day, and your ceremony should feel like it. Your Ceremony, Your Way
Got something different in mind? I’m all for new ideas too and love creating ceremonies that feel right for you.
So, if you're thinking I might be the celebrant for you, get comfy, grab a drink, and let’s chat about what’s possible..
“Where to begin with the amazing Lisa! What a gem. She is one of the nicest people you will ever meet. She was always checking in to see if we were happy and we were more than blown away. We went on a journey with Lisa. Guests were overwhelmed with emotion at our wedding and sung the highest of praises on how beautiful it was. We could not have asked for not only the best Celebrant but person who we have bonded with now. Thank you Lisa”

What happens next….
Get in touch.
If you'd like an informal chat to explore whether I'm the right celebrant for you, just drop me an email, fill out the contact form, give me a call or text to arrange a time. I will check my availability for your date and I will be happy to answer any questions you have.
If you decide I’m the celebrant for you, I’ll confirm your booking and we’ll arrange a follow-up meeting — either in person or over video call, depending on your location and availability.
Getting to know you.
Gather your ideas together, grab a drink, sit down and let’s talk about your ideas, your story and how you want your ceremony to feel. This is one of the most favourite parts I get to hear all about what matters most to you both and we can start to get creative..
Whether you know exactly what you want or you need a little inspiration I am happy to guide you. I have plenty of ideas and resources to help shape your perfect ceremony, and I’m always open to new suggestions too.
Writing the Ceremony.
Now it is time for me to be creative and bring everything we have talked about to life in a ceremony that feels personal and meaningful and totally you. I love doing this!
You’ll receive the first draft well before your wedding, giving you plenty of time to review it and make any tweaks. I want you to be 100% happy with the final script as knowing your ceremony is in good hands will give you one less thing to worry about.
If you’d like a rehearsal before the big day, I’m more than happy to do a run-through with you too.
On Your Wedding Day.
Before your wedding, I’ll liaise with your venue and/or planner to make sure everything runs smoothly. On the day itself, I’ll arrive in plenty of time, help greet guests, and offer any last-minute support if needed.
When the music starts and it’s time for your ceremony, I’ll be there with a warm smile and a calm presence, ready to deliver a ceremony that sets the perfect tone for your celebration.
If you'd like a little more help beyond the ceremony, I’m also happy to step into the role of Wedding Host. From coordinating suppliers and organising guests to introducing speeches and keeping everything running smoothly, I’ll be there to support you throughout the day so you can relax and enjoy every moment. (Additional fee applies)

After your wedding, I’ll send you a beautifully presented keepsake of your vows and a personalised wedding ceremony certificate — a lovely reminder of the promises you made to each other.

An independent wedding celebrant creates and leads a personalised wedding ceremony that is written around you. I take the time to get to know you, learn your story and create a ceremony that feels warm, engaging and completely personal.
-
I would like to be clear that Independent Celebrants cannot provide any kind of legal marriage (yet) but it’s really easy to fix that so that you can have the ceremony that you really want. For your marriage to be recognised under law, you will need to arrange and undertake a ‘Statutory Marriage’ at the Registration Office of your choice. For more guidance, please check out the official government advice: https://www.gov.uk/marriages-civil-partnerships/overview. or book in for a call and I can talk you through it.

Yes. One of the lovely things about a celebrant-led wedding is the flexibility to include meaningful rituals such as handfasting, unity candles, ring warming or other symbolic moments that feel right for you.
-
Yes, and I can help with that too. If you’d like to write your own vows but don’t know where to start, I can guide you so they feel personal, natural and true to you.
-
Once you've confirmed I’m the right Celebrant for you, I’ll confirm everything via email and request a 40% booking fee, along with a completed booking form. Your date is only secured once the booking fee is received.
You'll have a 14-day cooling-off period after booking. The remaining balance will be due no later than 30 days before your ceremony date.
*Please note that full T&C’s including the cancellation policy can be found here.
